Next, we went up to the second floor and I couldn’t believe the sight of the room. It was a replica of Hideyoshi’s Golden Tea Room. Of course, the wall was made of fake gold, but the tinsel room was like a real tea room. I’ve been to the other Golden Tea Room in Nagano which was more gorgeous than here, but this was fully self-made.
Finally, we reached the top of the building and there were two little towers in front of us. He made this castle from waste materials and a hundred yen store products so it cost just fifty thousand yen! I took a photo of the two towers and the smug-faced builder. Entering the castle is prohibited because of the size, but the exterior is beautiful. After this tour, I got a haircut from him while chatting.
Unfortunately, the castle was blown away by Typhoon 21 in 2018, so we can’t appreciate it anymore. But, hopefully, Mr. Isono will invite you to enjoy the interior of his house. I’m afraid that he can not speak English, but you may try to make an appointment by telephone or e-mail.
